Who is behind Trigger Films?

Walter Mair

Walter is an internationally acclaimed film producer and composer known for powerful blending storytelling with cinematic music.

Walter is a film producer and composer who has built an international reputation across both movie production and music for moving pictures. He is the recipient of a Hollywood Music in Media Award for the Apple TV+ thriller Liaison and has received multiple industry accolades, including nominations for two BAFTA Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards. While his work as a composer has brought him global recognition, it is his extensive achievements as a film producer and investor that define the core of his career.

Walter is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and The Ivors Academy, reflecting his standing within both the film and music industries. 

Reinhard Besser

Reinhard is the head of film finance at Trigger Films London.

Reinhard was the owner of Studo Besser, one of Germany's leading post production facilities. He relocated to London in 2009 and was responsible for music, post-production and film finance as executive producer for numerous national and international films. He is a member of the “Art Directors Club” Europe and board member of the German composers association (“Composers Club”).

With a strong background in both music and finance he is the ideal partner to discuss the financial requirements of your project.

Linus Willers

Linus is the investor relations manager at Trigger Films. He connects investors, high profile Individuals, film funds and private equity offices with exciting movies and projects.

After graduating with a degree in business administration he successfully invested in several startup companies and is now responsible for financial investments and strategic operations at Trigger Films.

Melanie Daveid

Melanie is a production manager, experience designer, and creative director working at the intersection of cinema, technology, and human-centred storytelling.

Her practice explores how emerging technologies reshape narrative structures, perception, and audience engagement, positioning her work within the evolving language of contemporary film and interactive experiences.
