Trigger Films to co-produce and finance the psychological thriller '3 Lives', starring Mhairia Calvey (Braveheart) and Anatole Taubman (Captain America).

Synopsis: A woman on the run from ruthless kidnappers discovers her rescuer is the man jailed for attacking her 15 years earlier.

Trendy - Raindance

Trendy is celebrating its UK premiere at RAINDANCE festival, where it also competes in the categories for  'Best Film' and 'Best Director'.

What the festival says abut the film: Trendy puts a spotlight on the loneliness and desperation that can make a single person feel so lost, even in a city as big and as populated as London. Particular praise goes to the film’s soundtrack, modern, compelling and highly evocative of the film’s themes. Tredy won the British Urban Film Festival Script Reading Award in 2015 and is screening at Raindance as a World Premiere. 

Three Way Junction

Trigger Films co-financed the visually stunning drama, shot in London and the Namibian dessert. Trigger was also responsible for full post production including picture, sound and music.

Acclaimed composer Walter Mair recorded the original music at London's finest Abbey Road Studios. The music was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded by Chris Bolster ('12 Years a Slave') in Abbey Road's Studio One.

Synopsis: Suffering from a massive career disappointment, London architect Carl Walters travels to the grand dunes of the Namibian Desert to escape. However, destiny soon strikes and he finds himself stranded alone in the African nowhere, desperately waiting for a ride that never comes. Carl embarks on a bitter rite of passage, a trial only overcome if he is willing to radically change his attitude towards life. In the face of his own demise, Carl learns the simple truth: To survive, you need to act.

Cast: Tom Sturridge (The Hollow CrownFar From The Madding Crowd), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac Vol. 1 & 2) and Tommy Flanagan (Sons Of Anarchy).


Trigger Films to finance and co-producer 'Trendy', a thriller set in London. Starring Lachlan Nieboer, Alan Ford, Haluk Bilginer, Alice Sanders, Edward Akrout, Lorraine Burroughs, Fraser Ayres and Jack Rowan.

The film’s script won the Live Script Reading Award at the British Urban Film Festival 2015.

Tesa Productions, Akronymion Productions, A 6 Foot Barrel and Trigger Films produced the film. Urban Distribution International are handling sales.

Synopsis: Richard, a 30 year-old teacher, moves to East London, where he discovers gentrification: hipsters meet cockneys and immigrants in a tense environment. Richard is looking for a fresh start. He explores the East End: its nights, its drugs, its people - But the big city is not a welcoming place. Faced with rejection and abuse, Richard's past demons resurface and let loose his violent instincts.
